Kikiam



1 pound pork tenderloin, chopped

4 stalks green onions, chopped
4 pieces dried mushrooms, soaked in water and chopped
1 teaspoon five spice powder or 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
1/4 cup water chestnuts, chopped
1/2 cup shrimps, cleaned, shelled, deveined, and chopped
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 egg
2/3 cup cornstarch
2 pieces tawpeh


In a bowl, mix all the ingredients except the tawpeh.  Slice each end of the tawpeh and then cut each tawpeh into two.  Wet the edge with water. Place mixture on tawpe.  Roll and seal opening with 1 teaspoon of cornstarch mixed with 1 teaspoon water.  Steam Kikiam for 8 minutes. Let cool. Fry Kikiam and let cool before slicing.
