Pan de Sal 1

1/3 cup lukewarm water
1 tablespoon active dry yeast
1 tablespoon brown sugar
3 eggs
2 tablespoons oil
1 tablespoon salt
1 cup boiling water
4 to 5 cups all-purpose flour

In a small bowl, add and mix the lukewarm water, dry yeast, and sugar. Cover with a kitchen towel and let rise for about 10 minutes.

In another bowl, mix the eggs, salt, and oil. Then add the boiling water slowly while stirring the mixture.

Add the yeast mixture and the flour, a little at a time until it forms into a ball. Knead for about 8 minutes until smooth. Put into a greased bowl and keep in a warm place to rise for about 2 hours.

Punch in the center and divide into two long logs and roll in breadcrumbs.  Cut about 1 1/2 inches and arrange on a greased cookie sheet to rise for another 30 minutes.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Bake for about 18 to 20 minutes until golden brown.

Result:  Bread became hard after one or two days.
