Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 1/4 cups confectioner sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose unbleached flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder

Procedure
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F, Cream the butter and sugar until well blended. Slowly pour the egg and vanilla and beat together.
- Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and the salt in another bowl. Add to the butter mixture gradually and beat until well blended.
- Make little balls about 1 1/4" in diameter and arrange in an ungreased cookie pan.
- Bake for about 10 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool.
