1 tablespoon active dry yeast
5 tablespoon sugar
1/3 cup warm water

4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoon salt
1 cup warm milk

In a small bowl, add and mix the yeast, 1 tablespoon sugar, 1/3 cup warm water. Cover with a kitchen towel and let rise for 10 minutes.When activated, add to the 1 cup milk.

In a large bowl, mix the flour, 1 teaspoon salt, and the remaining 4 tablespoons of sugar. Pour the yeast and milk mixture and mix well until they come together.  

Knead on a clean floured surface or an electric mixer with a dough hook for 10 minutes until dough is smooth and elastic.  Put in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a damp kitchen towel or a plastic food wrap or bag and keep in a warm place to let the dough rise for 1 hour. The dough should double in size.

Punch dough in the center to deflate.  Cut into 2 parts.
